Job Description:

Position type: Full time
Location: Durham Region, Ontario

NextTree is looking for talented Website Designers.

Skills are important. A web design background is a must. An up-to-date portfolio of live websites is a given. And experience with WordPress is icing on the cake. But just as important as skills - we want people who are willing to learn, work hard, try new things, and think outside the box.

You will be designing websites for Canadian small businesses. Anything from mini-sites to big-time e-commerce web stores. Logos are a definite possibility, as well as templates to use with all sorts of content management systems.

Requirements:

• You have a strong design background - you're an artist
• You love what you do.
• You have developed your own website or blog.
• You can show us at least five websites on the Internet right now that were created by you.

Furthermore, you should have at least a few of these skills on your resume. The more the merrier.

• PHP, MySQL, XHTML, Javascript
• Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash
• WordPress
• Marketing Sensibilities
• Search Engine Optimization

Finally we are a Canadian company servicing Canadians, so it makes sense that we're only accepting Canadian applicants ... eh?!
